Gear - Druid's, Staff w/ 20/20 All CST / RCT, +20% Enchants, +5 Energy
Expertise - 8 + 3
Shadow Arts - 12
Wilderness Survival - 10 + 1 + 3
1. Shadow Form
2. Quickening Zephyr
3. Trapper's Speed
4. Serpent's Quickness
5. Dust Trap
6. Barbed Trap
7. Flame Trap
8. Tripwire
Just an idea, it would allow you to trap even if you had a bad pull, make you nearly invincible and allow you to trap through attacks. No worries about pulling, no way to have it stripped. Coldfires aren't a problem at all, no bait and switch. No worries with Dryder's. I'm not sure how well it would work, but a friend and I were bored and looking at Shadow Form, thus the idea was borne.

You need to think about:
AOE will still hit you if you are in a group with others who don't have sf (i.e. from the coldfires and dryders).
What you will do when sf runs out.

Its not something you spam constantly, SF is only used to pull and possibly when fighting coldires / dryder's. If you so choose you could (possibly) not have to bait and pull them. Trapper's Quickness allows you to trap more quickly if a pull goes bad, your almost done trapping and want to lay a few extra, or when you're trapping a group by shadowforming into them. This is a solo build.
Its just a thought, an untested build.
EDIT - If AoE hits you under SF then its not as useful.

echo's better as a solo trapper, if you've trapped before in your life you don't need no pansy shadowform. Also as I'm sure you are aware, one cannot have both SQ and trappers speed on, so bringing both is a complete waste. SQ can be maintained constantly for ~80 secs with qz allowing you to get all your traps down.
My guess is that a non solo trapper team would in general feel the shadowform and trappers speed were both wasted spots since 2 person trapping is already not so hard. If you want a puller, even whirling/troll is plenty.

Gonna agree with lenny here. If you've trapped before you shouldn't need Shadow Form...Dust Trap should be fine. I think you may be better off going with Echo as your elite...the <50hp or so @ the end is going to hurt pretty badly.
Trapper's Speed is permanent if you have high enough expertise (I think it's currently somewhere 9-14, I haven't been on recently to check), so you should be fine without Serpent's Quickness as well.

I use the DoA build modded from UW speed trapper for my solo UW runs, 15 expertise, 16 WS, 6 BM. yeah 305 health, but 9 dust traps in 70 secs
